Our Story

Frog Moon Bookshop was born from a shared dream between my daughter, Anna Daugherty, and myself. We envisioned a space where people could slow down, breathe deeply, and find comfort in the pages of a good book—a cozy corner in Springfield where community, conversation, and quiet joy could come together. At the time, there simply wasn’t a place like that here, and we dreamed of creating one.

When Anna passed, the idea of the bookshop became more than just a dream—it became a way to honor her memory and her spirit. Frog Moon Bookshop, LLC was formed in honor of both of my girls, Anna and Alyssa.  

The name Frog Moon reflects a sense of whimsy, wonder, and quiet magic—just like my two girls who inspired it. It’s a place where the ordinary can feel extraordinary, where books become bridges, and where memories are gently held in every corner.
